Information Day on EU’s Education Policy and New Erasmus+

PRESS RELEASE | Stockholm Academic Forum (Staf) has announced that it will invite leading representatives of Sweden’s higher education institutions and journalists to an information day on EU’s education policy and the expansion of Erasmus+, which is to be held at Staf’s offices on June 1.

The event will feature keynote speakers Åsa Petri and Sophia Eriksson Waterschoot, who both work in Brussels.

Åsa Petri, who is the Councellor of Educational affairs at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU, will start the first session with an overview of the role of education in an EU context. She will also outline what Sweden has accomplished on a national, regional, and local level. Afterwards, Sophia Eriksson Waterschoot, the Acting Director for Youth, Education and Erasmus+ at the Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture at the European Commission, will guide the participants through the new Erasmus+ programme and its opportunities.

The CEO of Staf, Maria Fogelström Kylberg, who previously served as CEO to Central Sweden’s Regional Representation Office in Brussels, will also moderate a panel discussion and a question-and-answer session.
