Hiking in Tyresta National Park

October 12 | 10:00

Join us for a day trip in Tyresta National Park! Tyresta National Park, 40 minutes from the city center, is one of the largest untouched woodlands in Sweden outside the alpine areas. The area has a beautiful virgin forest and was made a national park in 1993. We have chosen an easy trail, that takes children and people with disabilities into account – Barnvagnsslingan loop, 5 km. An easy stroll without stones or tree roots which circles Bylsjön Lake. Perfect for baby carriages and for quick walks. Okay for wheelchairs, but a steep hill at the start. Fire and resting places at Bylslätt and Bylsjön lake. If we meet and are willing to do a longer hike, we can decide at the entrance of the park. The shortest route is a walk of around 75 minutes at leisurely pace. We hope to have good weather and the opportunity to stop and take some good autumn color pictures along the way.

Practical information
Time: Group meeting at Odenplan – latest at 09:45
Meeting point: Odenplan pendeltåg platform for train 43 (leaves at 10:01) toward Västerhaninge and get off at Handen station for bus 834 to Tyresta By.
What to bring: Nothing special. Wear something comfortable and can protect you from the cold and rain. We could stop along the way by the lake and perhaps have a picnic. You can carry some food along, but nothing too big. Make sure you have some bags so we can dump the trash in the designated places only.

More details will follow closer to the 12th! Hope to see you all there!
