Without highly skilled international professionals, Sweden comes to a standstill

This is written by Stockholms Akademiska Forum’s CEO, Maria Fogelström Kylberg, in a response published in Dagens Industri, where she highlights the importance of facilitating opportunities for highly qualified international professionals to contribute to the Swedish labor market and innovation.
Let’s protect valuable, highly educated foreigners and ensure that they get the place they deserve in the Swedish labor market, thereby strengthening our competitiveness. A large number are already here and we must ensure that they do not move away. Competition is fierce; international talent coming to Sweden almost always has attractive offers from other parts of the world.
Of course, we must remain vigilant against threats and infiltration at our universities, but this must not overshadow the many talented individuals who make up the majority and whom we so greatly need. Without highly skilled international professionals, Sweden comes to a standstill!
